The Turkey Hill Experience

Today, we visited the Turkey Hill Experience in Columbia, PA and learned all about how ice cream is made!

We played with an ice cream shop and sampled ice cream flavors!  (Squid loved the Fruity Swirl flavor.)

Squid invented his own ice cream flavor called PB MANGO SANDWICH. It's White Mix ice cream with Mango and a swirl of Peanut Butter, loaded with Chocolate Cookies and Peanuts.

Everyone else thought up their own ice cream flavors.  This was Mom's.

Hoppy Easter!

We had an easter egg scavenger hunt - the eggs had paper tags with pictures on and each picture told you where the next egg was going to be!

The last picture sent him to a big easter basket by the fireplace!

First Haircut!

We visited Mr. Eric at the Hershey GreatClips location for Squid's first real haircut!  

 Look at all that hair!

Wow!  It's a whole new Squid!

Birdwatching!

 We went for a walk around the neighborhood and looked for birds!

We found neat stuff!

At Folklore

Fridays at the coffee shop are often schoolwork time.  This week, we worked on pen control:

The night before christmas cupcakes!

We went to Lancaster Cupcake for another cupcake storytime - and they went all out! 

 Balloons, goldfish (Squid's favorite!) and punch!

  They read "The night before Christmas"and then Squid made a reindeer cupcake!  

(They also had a wreath cupcake option.)

And as an added bonus, they offered a free cupcake to the adults as well!  We had bourbon pecan, gingerbread and peppermint patty.
