First Cruise!

From October 12 to October 17, we set sail on the Grandeur of the Seas from Baltimore to Bermuda to explore the world of cruising!

 We had 4 generations on our trip - Squid, Mom (not pictured here), Grandma and Nana (great grandmother).

 We explored many new things, like sandcastle building and ocean wading!

 And made new friends - in the kids club and in the dining room!

Let's learn about farming!

We've been studying Farming for the past week!

(Our basket features so many farm books, a Melissa and Doug sticker sheet, a Green Toys tractor and some dried beans and Learning Resources farm counters.)

And then we went to Oregon Dairy in Lancaster to check out some critters and eat some ice cream.  

Squid is Sheep Tall.

There weren't cows, but we did see a big pig and some goats.

 Squid LOVES tractors, and they had a tractor-mower (missing an engine) that kids could play with at the playground.  It was quite exciting.

Next week, we study the Elizabethtown Fair!  

The Turkey Hill Experience

Today, we visited the Turkey Hill Experience in Columbia, PA and learned all about how ice cream is made!

We played with an ice cream shop and sampled ice cream flavors!  (Squid loved the Fruity Swirl flavor.)

Squid invented his own ice cream flavor called PB MANGO SANDWICH. It's White Mix ice cream with Mango and a swirl of Peanut Butter, loaded with Chocolate Cookies and Peanuts.

Everyone else thought up their own ice cream flavors.  This was Mom's.
